God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Therefore, we will not fear though the earth gives way… - Psalm 46:1-2

“Panic and pandemic.” Those are words we shouldn’t throw around lightly. But those are words that do encapsulate what is going on these days. It, indeed, does seem that “the earth is giving way,” right under our very feet. So, what do we do in times of panic and pandemic? We go to the Lord. He is a very present help in these troubles. We trust in Him. He is our Rock.

We also have a desire to be prudent in our response to the Coronavirus, COVID-19. We do not want to be disrespectful of or dismissive to the advice of the medical authorities who have encouraged “social distancing” and limiting yourself to groups of ten or less.

So, it is with those thoughts in mind that we are suspending all activities at Maranatha until the authorities deem it safe to resume meeting in large groups. This includes our Sunday morning Worship Service, Sunday School, all Wednesday night and Lenten activities, and all groups that meet at Maranatha. We also encourage LifeGroups that meet at homes to follow the guidance of the authorities as well. For now, the church office will remain open Monday through Friday.

That being said, we still want you to join us as we worship! We will be recording our Lenten services and Sunday worship and posting them on our YouTube channel. Gather the family around and join us for worship on Wednesday at 7:00pm for the Lenten Service and at 9:30am on Sunday morning for Worship!

The pastoral staff and visitation team at Maranatha will seek to do visitations in a prudent and wise manner, as well. While we would love to come and visit each of you, that might not be a reality. However, we can utilize the technology that the Lord has given us. If you need anything, anything at all, do not hesitate to call Pastor Lloyd or Pastor Ryan.

We also ask that you continue to remember Maranatha in your giving. We understand that this is a time of uncertainty and unknowns regarding the future and finances. We look to the Lord of the Harvest to provide all things! In that vein, we have set up online giving, for those who choose to give in that regard. Simply click the "Donate" tab at the top of this page. There, you can give a one-time donation or set up a recurring donation. You can also send a text message to 833-648-6683 with a dollar amount. The first time you do, it will take you to the donation page to set up your credit/debit card. After that, you can just text an amount to that same number and it will process your card again. If you do not feel comfortable giving online, you can still write a check to the church and mail it to us.

Trusting in our Refuge and our Strength,
